Dan
graduated from Michigan State University in 1989. After a short
stint in Colebrook, New Hampshire, he and his wife opened Stonecliff
Animal Clinic in Bradford, Vermont. Big or small he has taken care
of them all. Dan has spent many years and hours of continuing education
to follow his interests in orthopedics. In the spring of 1999 he
received his license to perform a very unique procedure calledTibial
Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO). For many years Dr. Kelly was
the only surgeon in Vermont to perform this procedure. In the summer
of 2000 Dan attended Ohio State University and was trained to perform
total hip replacement surgery. With a keen love of surgery, and
a special interest in canine sports medicine, Dan spends many hours
repairing broken bones and ligaments. Away from the clinic he is
kept busy with his four very active children, a major farm renovation
and lots of horses, ducks, turkeys, dogs and cats.
Amy
graduated from Auburn University in 1996. She started
working at Stonecliff Animal Clinic right away. Through
the years she has divided her time between raising
3 very energetic children and treating patients in
the Upper Valley. Amy's parents were both veterinarians
in the Keene, New Hampshire area, so she came by
it naturally. Ultrasound and cardiac medicine are
both special interests Amy has though she sees patients
for lots of other reasons. Our clients love Dr. Cook
because of her incredible bedside manner. We all
strive to make companion animal care understandable,
and Amy is a great leader! Amy lives in Bradford,
Vermont with her husband Dave and their three children,
2 horses, 2 dogs, chickens, a cat, a herd of sheep,
some goats that she milks, and a few cows.
Welcome Susan Dyer to the SAC family.
Dr. Dyer is a small animal veterinarian with special
interests in exotics. She graduated from Tufts University
in May 2007 as a veterinarian, and previously earned
a Bachelor of Science from UVM. During veterinary school,
Dr. Dyer worked in a reptile zoo and also practiced
under a number of exotics specialists. She is comfortable
handling birds, small mammals, and reptiles. Dr. Dyer
lives in Richmond, Vermont with her fiance, and spends
her professional time between a veterinary hospital
in Essex and our hospitals in Bradford and W. Lebanon,
New Hampshire.
