Surgery Suite This room is located off of the treatment area, and can be easily monitored by technical staff through a large picture window. The only people allowed in this room during surgery is the surgeon, and his surgical staff. Masks and sterile gowns are worn to prevent infection or contamination of the patient. A surgical nurse prepares the patient for surgery and monitors anesthesia. Other members of the surgical team assist the surgeon during the surgery.
